Chocolate City

This used to be the nickname of the capital of the United States.

In the 1980's and 90's, black people made around 70% of the population in Washington D.C. As of 2020, due to gentrification, this community shrunk to around 41%. These images give a little insight about what is left of black culture in the Nations Capital.
